Commission
A Custom Artwork
Over the past year, I’ve been incredibly grateful for the overwhelming volume of commission enquiries I have received. Because of this, and due to changes in my availability throughout 2026, I’ll be adjusting how I take on commissioned work moving forward.
I will be using the beginning of 2026 to complete the remaining commission requests already in progress, and I’ll be taking periods of leave starting in April. I won’t be booking new commissions to commence during any periods of leave.
Commissioned work is not the foundation of my practice. My work is led by intuition, emotion, and my personal response to the landscape. I paint primarily for exploration, grounding, and especially for personal growth, and it’s important that my practice continues to evolve in a direction that feels honest and sustainable for me.
For that reason, I don’t plan to formally “reopen” commissions in a traditional sense. Any commissioned work I take on will be considered on an individual basis and only where the concept naturally aligns with my evolving style and current body of work. When I do accept a commission, it’s important to me that the painting is given the time, space, and attention it deserves.
I highly welcome you to reach out and share your ideas; however, please don’t be disheartened if I’m not able to take on your project. As my work and home life continue to shift, being selective allows me to protect both my creative integrity and the energy required to paint meaningfully.
My practice isn’t about producing high volumes of art, and I will never be an artist who creates for output alone. My work is intentionally produced, and I always encourage you to explore available originals and prints before exploring a commission. Existing works are created from a place of instinct and freedom, and often offer the strongest expression of what I do. If, after viewing these, you feel a commission may be the right fit, I’m always open to a thoughtful discussion to see whether it feels aligned for both of us.

THE COMMISSION PROCESS

Step 1: Let’s Chat About Your Vision
We’ll start by discussing your ideas and preferences. Together, we’ll explore:
Theme & Style: What’s the mood or story you’d like the artwork to convey? Maybe it’s a favourite landscape, a sentimental memory, or something inspired by my signature style. (Love a sold artwork? You can commission me to create something similar!)
Size & Medium: Whether you’re after a large statement piece or something more modest, we’ll work out the perfect dimensions and medium to suit your idea.
Your Inspiration: If you’ve got reference images, colours, or examples of work you love, please share them with me!
While I’ll take your ideas and preferences into account, I bring my own creative style to the table. If you’ve seen my existing work, you can expect a similar approach—capturing the beauty of landscapes, colours, and textures in a way that’s uniquely my own.

Step 2: Get a Free Quote
Once we’ve nailed down the details, I’ll provide a no-obligation quote tailored to your project. This quote will outline:
Initial Fee: Covers consultation, materials, and getting started (non-refundable).
Creation Costs: Based on the size, complexity, and time involved.
Optional Framing & Delivery: Framing is optional and quoted separately. If you’re local, you can pick up the artwork for free, or I can arrange delivery.

Step 3: Watch Your Artwork Come to Life
Once the agreement has been signed and the initial fee is received, I’ll start working on your piece. I’ll keep you updated with progress shots (if you’d like), so you can see how your vision is coming together and to ensure the project stays aligned with your vision.
Step 4: Final Touches & Delivery
When the artwork is complete, I’ll apply an isolation coat and matte varnish to keep it looking its best for years to come. If you’ve chosen framing, I’ll handle that too. Once the final payment is made, your artwork, along with certificates will be ready for collection or delivery.

TIMEFRAME

I will give you an estimation of how long the artwork will take to create. Please bear in mind that I have other work to complete alongside commissioned artworks, so the estimated timeframe may vary. You can expect most projects to take a couple of months. Paint needs time to cure properly before varnishing, and framing can take up to a couple of weeks.

WORKING WITH A SMALL BUDGET?

I understand everyone's working with different budgets, so I'm happy to offer options that suit your needs:
-
Opt for a smaller canvas or minimalist design.
-
Frame the artwork yourself at a later date.
-
Arrange for local pick-up instead of delivery.
-
Spread payments out in instalments. I also offer Paypal Pay in 4 as a payment method.

WHY COMMISSION AN ARTWORK?

Art is personal. A commissioned piece isn’t just something to hang on your wall—it’s a reflection of your style, your story, and your space. Imagine the joy of owning something that speaks directly to you!
Make a House a Home: Add warmth, character, and a touch of your personality to your space.
Celebrate Special Moments: A custom artwork makes an unforgettable gift for weddings, anniversaries, or new homes.
Connect with Your Space: Picture how your custom artwork will look in your living room, bedroom, or office—it’s designed to fit perfectly.
