Printing, Framing
& Care
Original artworks are unframed unless stated otherwise in the artwork description. An add-on frame can be added to the cart for all original art, small encounters, and photography prints, by selecting the size you add to the cart (e.g., A4 print = A4 frame. 20x20 cm artwork = 20x20 cm frame). All printing and framing is carried out in Australia, by experts with over 30 years of experience. Frames are created using solid wood wherever possible, from local, sustainable sources. The backing boards and mat boards used are acid-free. Frames are delivered with fixtures that allow for easy hanging on existing wall fixings.
Printing

Satin Fibre Rag (shiny art paper)

It's a traditional, fibre-based photo paper ideal for showing off high-quality black and white printing while offering an exceptionally wide gamut of colour, detail and tonality.
Limited Edition vs Open Edition Prints

Limited Edition Prints
Are prints that are produced in a specific, predetermined number, making each print part of a limited run. This scarcity enhances their value and exclusivity. These prints are printed with a white border and are signed with my signature, digitally attached, and numbered (print number/the total number of prints available). This adds to their authenticity and collectible nature, and they can increase in value over time, especially if the artist gains prominence. Prints that are part of the limited edition collection will state "limited edition" along with the specific number of runs, in the artwork description. Please note that there is no certificate of authenticity included for limited edition prints.

Open Edition Prints
Have no limit on the number of reproductions made. They are more affordable and accessible due to their unlimited availability. These prints are usually not signed or numbered, making them less exclusive but ideal for those who appreciate the artwork without the focus on collecting limited pieces. Open edition prints will not be printed with a border unless requested.
Available Print Sizes Conversion

A3 = 297 x 420 mm
A2 = 420 x 594 mm

A1 = 594 x 840 mm
Framing for Prints

Classic Frame
Glazing is placed directly on top of the art without spacers or mat board. Timber dimensions are approximately 2x2 cm. The classic frame comes in three standard colours: White, Black and Oak. Stained colours are an extra cost, colours include: White Open Grain Oak, Black Open Grain Oak, Coffee Tasmanian Oak, and Chocolate Tasmanian Oak.

By default, all print frames with glazing are acrylic. It is shatterproof and lightweight for simple shipping and safety measures. Glass looks more luxurious, and depending on the type, it can eliminate reflection and provide UV filtering. The downfall of glass is that it's likely to shatter during transit. If you are looking for glass as an option, please get in touch. Ordering glass instead of acrylic glazing will increase the cost of your order.

Open edition prints come without borders unless you contact me to request a border. Limited edition prints come with a border so the prints can be signed with my signature and edition number.

Additional Framing Options
Additional frame styles may be available upon request. please reach out for more details.

While I offer framing as an additional service, I highly recommend finding a local framer who can deliver you a highly quality UV non-reflective glass frame, to ensure you have a quality glass frame to display your professional art (as opposed to acrylic), as well as to limit the potential of breaking glass during transit.
Framing for Small Encounters

Small Encounters are 9x9 cm original artworks designed to be affordable. While you can choose your own frame or a way to display it, I have designed a frame that enhances the miniature artwork and allows an elegant design for a simple, affordable piece of art.

-
The artwork will be embedded between a mat border and an adhesive foam board.
-
A double-layer mat border is used to create a 9 cm border around the artwork and is also designed to separate the glass from the artwork.
-
You have a choice between clear glass (a cheaper option) and UV non-reflective glass (protects the work from sun damage and provides minimal reflection - well worth the extra cost in my professional opinion).
-
Glass size is approximately 27x27 cm.
-
Timber frame (colour options are white or raw oak) is 2x2 cm.
-
The outer frame dimensions are 31x31 cm.
-
Acid-free adhesive foam board backing.
-
Hanger: D rings and string.
Framing for Original Artworks

Original art frames are custom built to ensure your artwork fits perfectly. Floating frames are designed to create a small gap between the edge of the artwork and the inside of the frame, giving the artwork a "floating" appearance.

-
Crafted from high-quality oak for timeless duribility and elegance.
-
Finished with tung oil for a natural sheen and protection. If you would prefer a war finish, please leave a note at checkout.
-
Dimensions: front thickness = 1 cm. Depth = 4.5 cm.
-
Mounting: Includes D-rings and PVC coated wire for easy and secure hanging.
Artwork Care

Photography, Art Print and Small Encounters Frames
Glazing Extra care should be taken when cleaning acrylic glazing as its more likely to scratch than glass. The glazing can be cleaned the same way that you would typically clean glass, however i recommend spraying directly onto a specialised glass cleaning cloth, rather than directly onto the glass. this ensures that the liquid doesnt seen into any crevices and cause swelling in the print paper. Small Encounters have mat borders which are typically designed to absorb moitsure between the glass and the artwork (and can be replaced easily if needed). Dust the timber part of the frame regularly with a soft, dry cloth.

Original Art Surfaces (Stretched Canvas and Small Encounters)
Glazing Original artworks are varnished for protection from dust and scratches. They can be cleaned using a white cotton cloth (white to prevent colour run) and soapy water or plain water. It is important to be gentle when cleaning as my artworks are impasto paintings. this means there are a lot of thick textures that can easily become damaged if cleaned too harshly. A cotton tip can be used to clean around any crevices in the paint. Displaying the artwork indoors, out of direct sunlight, and away from high moisture areas will enchance the artworks longevity. Dust the frame regularly with a soft dry cloth.
