Australia's Seasonal Palette
Welcome to the inaugural exhibition of emerging rural artist Elyssa Storey, titled “The Bush & Beyond: Australia’s Seasonal Palette.” This solo exhibition is a celebration of the diverse seasons that adorn Australia’s countryside, drawing inspiration from Elyssa’s travels through the western region of NSW and the Riverina.

Elyssa’s deep emotional connection to the landscape is beautifully expressed in her unique and emotive artworks. Through her distinct palette knife textures and boldly applied colours, she brings Australian landscapes, native flora, fauna, and agricultural beauty to life on canvas.

One of the highlights of Elyssa’s work is her experimentation with paint textures, using a combination of smooth impasto paints and gritty, sandy textures to mirror the natural textures of Australia. This tactile approach makes her art irresistible to touch as you view it.

As her first exhibition as a professional artist, Elyssa is thrilled to showcase the diversity of her creations across nine paintings, encompassing a range of scenes, styles, colours, and textures - Australia's Seasonal Palette. Join us in experiencing the rich tapestry of Australia’s beauty through Elyssa Storey’s eyes and hands.

Elyssa's art will be on display at Rosnay Organic, a family-owned farm in Canowindra, NSW. Known for its sustainable practices, Rosnay produces natural wines, olives, and figs, all grown organically since 1997. The farm's rustic charm and commitment to sustainability provide an ideal backdrop for Elyssa's exhibition, harmonising the beauty of organic farming with her evocative art. Created on canvases with sustainably sourced wood and using non-toxic, zero-VOC paints, Elyssa's work aligns perfectly with Rosnay's values. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, farm tours and accommodation, making it a unique cultural experience and a wonderful way to spend a weekend away in the winter.

Exhibition opening is at 6pm on Saturday the 6th of July 2024. The exhibition will run until the 29th of July 2024.

Rosnay Organic's cellar door opening hours are 11am - 5pm, Monday - Friday and 10am - 5pm, Saturday - Sunday.

The exhibition will be held at the Cellar Door with fire buckets and heaters provided to account for cold weather.

There will be plenty of parking available at the designated parking area.

There are no entry fees or reservations required to enter the venue.

Appetisers will be provided free of charge and drinks will be available for purchase. Please note that while we strive to acommodate everyone, dietary requirements have not been specifically catered for. Please make dinner plans before the event as our appetisers are light snacks and won't replace a full meal. Rosnay Organic does not serve meals.

Rosnay Organic has onsite Farmstay and glamping accommodation available, booking is required. Eddy's of Canowindra has group accommodation available in Canowindra (availability permitted). There are plenty of other accommodation options from motels to Airbnb's and camping options to suit all needs for a weekend in the countryside.

Guests can freely view artworks upon arrival and will have the opportunity to speak to the artist after the artist talk.

Private viewings are available at any time during the exhibition, a booking is required. Private viewings can be scheduled prior to the exhibition opening for early access to purchase an artwork.

Paint & Sip workshops will be held on weekends (or during the week at special request) within the exhibition dates, a booking is required.
